The Context
Pyxis Communications is a healthcare advertising agency producing campaigns, print collateral, and digital creative for specialty pharmaceutical brands. As a freelance designer, I was brought in to deliver high-quality creative across a fast-moving project pipeline — working directly with account managers and brand teams to hit tight deadlines without sacrificing craft.
The work spanned multiple therapeutic areas and brand voices, requiring the ability to quickly internalize brand guidelines and produce on-brand, FDA-aware creative for diverse audiences including physicians, patients, and healthcare providers.
My Role
I was responsible for the full design lifecycle on assigned projects — from initial concept development and layout exploration through final production-ready files. This meant working within strict brand and regulatory frameworks while still finding opportunities for visual impact and clarity.
On the digital side, I designed banner ad campaigns, pop-up units, and digital collateral optimized for engagement. On the print side, I produced full-page ads, brochures, and direct mail pieces adhering to precise production specifications.
